- IMIDRA, Nomad Solar Energy and full&fast driving agricultural innovation, with portable solar power on the Farm The Fireplace
- The project will drive the energy transition in rural environments.
Madrid, X August 2025 — In the framework of a strategic partnership between the Madrid Institute for Research and Rural Development, Agricultural and Food (IMIDRA) and the technology company Nomad Solar Energy SL, the company’s full&fast has been shown in the experimental farm “The Fireplace”, in Aranjuez, an innovative installation of generators, portable solar power storage system with autonomous. This initiative, in place since April 2025 and expected duration until the end of the year, is a milestone in the energy transition of the agricultural sector.
The installation is innovative, completely temporary, autonomous and non-invasive, seeks to solve a specific need: to ensure the energy supply for irrigation and other demands on agricultural, without resorting to permanent infrastructure and connections to the conventional electricity network. It is an energy solution “removable” that can easily move and adapt to different rural contexts.
Nomad Solar Energy and Full&Fast have established a strategic collaboration for the implementation of a system of microgrid that combines a comprehensive generation and storage of renewable energy. Nomad Solar Energy is responsible for the production of electricity through photovoltaic modules, while Full&Fast brings its technology accumulation, responsible for storing and distributing energy efficiently. This solution, designed to operate in isolation mode, ensures total independence of the network, optimizing the energy performance and a model of sustainable supply.
“This project represents a clear example of how the renewable technology can be integrated in such a way that is respectful, helpful, and economic environments agricultural real. We are grateful to the IMIDRA confidence to demonstrate the potential of the portable solar power applied to the field,” says Borja Santos Bergasa, co-founder and CEO at full&fast.
The Estate of The Fireplace, the property of the IMIDRA, is an environment reference to the agricultural experimentation in the Community of Madrid. Here we develop projects related to new farming techniques, soil management, efficient irrigation and sustainability of agricultural. The possibility of having a source of renewable energy, and autonomous reinforces the commitment of the IMIDRA with the applied research and sustainability.
“We are very proud to be partnering with an institution like IMIDRA in an environment as relevant to the Estate of The Fireplace. It is an opportunity to validate our solutions in real-world conditions, with a direct impact on the sustainability of the agricultural sector”, adds Borja.
‘From Nomad Solar Energy, we celebrate having developed this project in close collaboration with Full&Fast. Our photovoltaic technology, integrated with its advanced system of accumulation, has allowed us to implement a microgrid can operate in a manner completely isolated. This solution not only ensures independence of the conventional electricity network, but also reinforces our commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. This is a clear example of how the cooperation between specialized companies can give rise to models of energy innovative and high-impact.’ says Albert Barberà Catalan, project manager at Nomad Solar Energy.
The project is expected to generate an effective cooperation between the public sector and technology companies, driving the energy transition in rural environments through the efficient use and saving of energy resources. In addition, it seeks to develop a replicable model for other farms or experimental farms, with significant progress toward energy self-sufficiency adapted to the characteristics of each type of crop. Not only does this project is an example of technology transfer applied, but also a firm commitment to making agriculture more efficient, clean, and resilient.
