TiLT bet for the decarbonisation of the energy mobile and off grid to invest 15 million euros in the Spanish company specialized Nomad Solar Energy

The Spanish company Nomad Solar Energy (NSE), specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of mobile solar generatos and off-grid generation, has achieved a major investment of 15 million euros by TiLT Capital Partners, French the energy transition platform of the Siparex Group. This funding will allow NSE to strengthen its efforts in R & D and accelerate its commercial development, thus marking a key step in its ambition to become a reference player at the international level.

Founded in Madrid by Laurent de Thieulloy, NSE wanted to give a response to a market in search of innovative technologies and descarbonised energy solutions for the production of energy.

Its reference product, the Nomad Energy Box, provides a solution for photovoltaic power production of quick installation and adaptable to any environment. This system is based on a shipping container which houses a structure of solar panels rated at 42 kWp for the format of 10 feet, or 106 kWp in the case of 20 feet. Thanks to its innovative design,’Plug & Play‘, the structure can be deployed and retracted in less than 3 hours without the need for prior preparation of the land, permits, or skilled labor on site.

These custom-built, CSC-certified containers are easily transportable by land or sea, allowing installation in isolated areas or places that require a off-grid electricity production as islands, humanitarian centres, construction sites, field camps, or mining sites. The Nomad Energy Box can also complement an existing but unstable network and meet temporary needs for energy. In addition, they can be interconnected to increase electricity production capacity.

This mobile solution is a clean energy alternative to traditional diesel generatos, allowing you to reduce your operating time and contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions, nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulphur oxides (SOx) that deteriorate the quality of the air. With this approach, Nomad Solar Energy encourages companies to engage with the energy transition and to achieve their ESG goals

Supporting Nomad Solar Energy is directly aligned with the strategic objectives of TiLT Capital Partners, which consist of investing in European companies that are actively involved in the energy transition, support solutions that improve the energy efficiency of our economy and the flexibility of energy systems, and accompany them in their growth.

For Nathanaël Krivine, partner, co-founder of TiLT Capital Partners: ‘when participating in the opening of the capital of NSE, we at TiLT are pleased to accompany an experienced entrepreneur as Laurent de Thieulloy, as well as provide the team the means to deploy their solutions based on mobile solar containers. This investment is aligned with the intent of TiLT to strengthen our presence in the ecosystem of the solar energy, and with the strong conviction that the decarbonisation of distributed power is a major but insufficiently addressed challenge’.

For Laurent de Thieulloy, president of Nomad Solar Energy:

‘Tilt Capital supports Nomad Solar Energy’s expansion ambitions by providing not only the capital necessary for their development and research, but also its undeniable experience in the renewable energy sector. Aware of the fact that water and energy are the two keys to the future of our planet and for generations to come, we will strive to create together a range of innovative products that respect our environment, contributing to a better distribution of energy, and reduce poverty among the most vulnerable populations’.
