From 9 to 11 July 2025, Nomad Solar Energy took part in Expominas 2025, one of the leading gatherings of the mining and energy sectors in Latin America, held in Quito, Ecuador. Our presence marked a milestone in the company’s consolidation in the Ecuadorian market, where demand for off-grid and sustainable energy solutions is booming.
A new energy landscape in Ecuador
The recent entry into force of Presidential Decree 032, which requires large energy consumers to self-generate part of their demand within a period of 18 months, has driven an unprecedented transformation in Ecuador’s energy system. In this context, Nomad Solar Energy presented its value-based proposal for autonomous solar energy solutions, adapted to sectors operating in remote areas or with limited infrastructure.
Strong reception in strategic sectors
During the fair, we held meetings with key stakeholders in the mining, energy and government sectors. Interest in our solutions was especially high in:
- Mining and oil camps, seeking energy efficiency and reduced dependence on fossil fuels.
- Rural electrification projects, where energy must be brought to homes that are not connected to the national electricity grid.
- Agribusiness and shrimp farming, sectors that operate in remote areas and need clean, scalable and reliable energy sources.
These sectors found in Nomad Solar Energy a practical and effective alternative for addressing their energy challenges, thanks to our off-grid energy solutions designed for demanding conditions.
Regional positioning with sustainable impact
Our participation in Expominas 2025 not only strengthened our presence in Ecuador, but also consolidated Nomad Solar Energy’s positioning as an innovative provider of decentralised energy solutions. The combination of technology, flexibility and sustainability in our proposals was seen as a differentiator in the face of the current challenges of the regional energy market.
