Photovoltaic solutions for the agri-food industry
Nomad Solar Energy, a Spanish company specialising in the manufacturing and marketing of next-generation mobile and off-grid solar generators, has presented its photovoltaic solutions for the agri-food industry and reached an important milestone in its journey. The company has been recognised in the second edition of the AgroBank Tech Digital Innovation programme as one of the best startups in the agri-food sector for its technological solutions, which promote sustainability and improve energy efficiency in the agri-food industry.
This award not only highlights the company’s capacity for innovation, but will also allow it to receive valuable strategic support from AgroBank, the agri-food business line of CaixaBank, with the aim of certifying and expanding its maturity level (TRL) and boosting its competitiveness. This is in line with NSE’s goal of becoming an international benchmark in the field of the energy transition.
The solution revolutionising the market: the Nomad Energy Box

At the heart of Nomad Solar Energy‘s offering is Nomad Energy Box, a photovoltaic power production solution that is quick to install and adaptable to any environment. This innovative system, built around a shipping container, houses a structure of solar panels rated at 42 kWp for the 10-foot format, or 106 kWp for the 20-foot format. What makes it unique is its “Plug & Play” design, which allows the structure to be unfolded and refolded in less than 3 hours, without any prior preparation of the land, permits or skilled labour on site. This makes it highly efficient for isolated areas or places with difficult access to energy.
These CSC-certified containers are easily transportable by sea or land, which makes it possible to bring energy to remote areas or to places that require off-grid electricity production, such as islands, humanitarian centres, construction sites, field camps or mining sites. In addition, the Nomad Energy Box units are not only a cleaner alternative to traditional diesel generators, but can also be linked together to increase production capacity according to demand. This makes the Nomad Energy Box a versatile choice, able to adapt to unstable networks as well as to temporary electricity needs.
International expansion of Nomad Solar Energy
Following its recognition by AgroBank, Nomad Solar Energy is taking its vision beyond national borders. The company will take part in All-Energy Australia, the most important exhibition in the energy sector at the global level. This involvement not only highlights its interest in expanding its presence in the international market, but also represents an opportunity to explore emerging markets in the Pacific region.
However, the internationalisation of Nomad Solar Energy does not stop there. The Spanish company has also announced the opening of a new office in Bangkok, a strategic hub that will allow it to monitor the markets of Asia, Oceania and the Middle East, regions with high potential for the growth of renewable energy.
With a clear commitment to innovation and an expansive strategy that crosses borders, Nomad Solar Energy is redefining what it means to be an energy company today. Its success in the AgroBank Tech Digital Innovation programme and its growing presence in international markets are just the beginning of a new era for the company, which promises to transform the energy industry through innovative and sustainable renewable solutions.
